Next Stage of Life Volunteering
Donate your time and talents and reap the benefits
Volunteering your time after retirement is not only a great way to get involved with your community, but it’s also a fantastic reason to get back out there and support a good cause. Adults 55 and older across Ontario, just like you, donate their time and talents to help their communities thrive. Many do volunteer work with nonprofit organizations, while others do informal volunteering such as helping community members by dropping off meals, running errands, and performing other services. So if you are 55+, then you’re in good company.
This website provides an overview of the many service areas available, the benefits of volunteering, and links to resources for older adults interested in donating their time for a good cause. You can also search and apply for a volunteer position that has been posted by a non-profit organization near you through our main volunteer website – Volunteer Success.
Volunteer Success is a registered Canadian charity that offers a user-friendly online platform designed to help volunteers find meaningful opportunities and for organizations to connect with qualified volunteers. Organizations can post their volunteer roles and recruit volunteers. People looking to volunteer can search and apply for volunteer positions.
Please take a few minutes to complete a short survey on our services. It should only take about 3 minutes to complete, and your responses will remain confidential and your email address will not be shared with anyone. The overall results of this survey will be used to improve our websites and services and will also be included in the statistics we share with our funders, the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund, and the Seniors Community Grant Program through the Ontario Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility.
