Feeling Safe, Secure and Comfortable

It is important that the place you volunteer at and the types of tasks they need you to do take into account your needs.

Working with some experts in the volunteer sector and a dedicated group of volunteers ranging in age from 55 to 85, we are creating a rating system to assess whether an organization takes into account the unique needs of older adults who volunteer for them. We will then use this evaluation tool to rate various charities and non-profit organizations across the province. Organizations that have adapted their online and onsite environments for volunteers 55+ will be designated as “Age-Friendly Places to Volunteer” on our website.
